Privacy
Last updated: 15 October 2026. The Italian version prevails.
In short
ReadyToPlay helps you and your groups of friends agree on when to play and what, in the iPhone and Android apps and in the Discord Activity. We use your data only to run the service. No ads, no profiling, no third-party analytics, no selling of data.
Controller
Lorenzo Verardo, developer of ReadyToPlay. Contact: lorenzo.verardo@hotmail.it
What data we process
- Sign-in: when you sign in with Apple, Google or Discord we receive an account identifier, your email (with Apple it can be an anonymous relay address) and, if you share it, your name. With Discord we also receive your username and display name.
- Profile: nickname, profile photo, gamer tags, platforms, time zone, chosen theme and appearance.
- Groups and activity: the groups you belong to and your role, the READYs you create, your replies and attached messages, game proposals and votes, notification preferences.
- Availability: your usual week, exceptions on single days and any pause.
- Games: your personal library. If you link Steam, your SteamID and the list of games on your public Steam profile, which we import into your library.
- Discord: if you link Discord or use the Activity, your Discord ID and username, to recognise you in the Activity. The Activity also receives from Discord the server and channel you open it from, and sets your Discord status ("Playing ReadyToPlay").
- Ideas and bug reports: what you write on the board (title, text, comments, votes). For bug reports, if you attach them, app version, system, device model and a screenshot.
- Notifications, widgets and Live Activities: device tokens for push notifications and to update widgets, the ongoing notification (Android) and Live Activities (iPhone).
- Diagnostics: anonymous crash and performance reports provided by Apple (MetricKit) and, for apps distributed through Google Play, by Google (Android Vitals), without personal data.
Who sees what
- Your profile, READYs, replies, games and availability are visible only to members of the groups you belong to. Your profile photo is stored at an unguessable address, reachable by whoever knows it.
- People who receive an invite link only see the group's name, emoji and number of members.
- The ideas and bug report board is shared by all ReadyToPlay users, with the author's nickname. The public board pages on the website don't show authors. Device data and bug screenshots are visible only to the author and the staff.
- In the Discord Activity other participants see the same group information they would see in the app.
Providers
These providers process data only to run ReadyToPlay:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and files (servers in the European Union, Ireland).
- Cloudflare: website and Activity.
- Apple and Google: sign-in and push notifications (Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Discord: sign-in, account linking and the Activity.
- Valve (Steam): Steam account linking and library import, only if you turn it on.
- IGDB (Twitch): game catalogue; it only receives the text you search for, not your data.
Some of these providers are based outside the European Union (United States): such transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis and retention
We process data because it is needed to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). We keep it as long as your account exists. When you delete it we erase your profile, photo, group memberships, replies, availability, library, Steam and Discord links and device tokens. READYs you created stay in the groups without your name, and so do your contributions to the board.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access, rectification, erasure (including of your whole account) or portability of your data, or object to processing, by writing to lorenzo.verardo@hotmail.it. You can already change or remove much of your data yourself in the app (profile, photo, availability, library, Steam and Discord links). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Children
ReadyToPlay is not meant for people under 14.
Changes
If we change this notice we update the date at the top and, for important changes, we tell you in the app.
